Like tourists from all around the world, the magnificent whales from the cold Antarctic waters also find the NSW coastline a “hot” destination. They migrate to the warm NSW coastline during the month of June and early July when their mating/calving season begin and return southwards during September and early November. This coastline is a favourite destination for the humpback and the southern right whales. Migaloo, the white humpback whale, has been frequenting the NSW waters every year since 1991.
The other whales that you are likely to encounter on your whale watching cruise are the blue whale, minke whale, fin whale, false killer whale, sei whale, orca, brydes whale, sperm whale, pygmy right whale and pygmy sperm whale. So go right ahead and enjoy a whale of a holiday with the whales!
